Fairgoers Get To Name Roller Coaster

RALEIGH, N.C.–  People attending the N.C. State Fair this Thursday, Oct. 16, will be able to submit a name for the world’s largest portable roller coaster, according to Powers Great American Midways.

Names can be submitted on Oct. 16 from 3 pm. To 11 p.m. and the winner will be announced Friday, Oct 17.  The person who submits the winning name will receive a prize pack including five admission tickets, T-shirts and ride books.

Fairgoers can submit names for the coaster, currently known as the Pinfarri RC-48, at the guest relations booth, near the Commercial and Education Building in Kiddieland.

Representatives from Powers Great American Midways will choose the winner.

The roller coaster’s new name and the name of the winning submitter will be displayed near the coaster throughout the Fair.
