I May Be Crazy, But I’m Not Stupid
Well, I couldn’t spend eight days at the N.C. State Fair without getting on an amusement ride.My recommendation: The Claw. Here’s the deal with this ride … they psych you out. This thing takes you up in the air, spins you around upside and then, it begins to come in for a landing.
At that moment, you are smiling again. But, just before you feet almost touch the platform, the operator starts laughing manically and starts the ride again. You will be disturbed with yourself as to how much you like it.
I didn’t hop on the gigantic space-needle ride that drops you down about 10 stories. I rode that one last year, and I’m still not over it. (I can still hear that lady screaming in my ear.)
The Vortex and rollercoaster also are fun, so if you get a chance, go for a ride. And, do it after dark, I hear it’s more fun when the rides are lit up.
