The numbers are in and officials with the North Carolina State Fair say they have surpassed one million fairgoers this year.
According to Brian Long with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Saturday’s Sate Fair attendance was 76,296, compared to last year’s single-day record of 145,955 on the same day last year. Fair officials believe the low number of fairgoers was due to Saturday’s rain.
Thousands have flocked to the State Fair, but they’re not dishing out as much cash as they did last year.
